Ceremony Enhancements

Wedding ceremonies do not have to be the simple "I DO" type.  For a more personal and memorable ceremony, please consider incorporating a Ceremony Enhancement.

Ceremony Enhancements are mini ceremonies within your wedding ceremony that are a wonderful way to express your love together and emphasize a specific point that is important to you as a couple.

There is not an additional charge to include any of the Ceremony Enhancements if you have selected The Full Wedding Package, The Vow Renewal Package, or The Commitment Ceremony Package.

And, many couples include more than one Enhancement in their Ceremony!!

If you have selected the Elopement Package, Ceremony Enhancements can be added to your ceremony for an additional $25 each.

Below is a list of Ceremony Enhancements but the possibilities for customizing your own ceremony is truly only limited to your imagination. Please follow the links for more information on each Ceremony Enhancement.

All Ceremony Enhancements are completely customizable. These samples are provided to you as an example but each one can be altered to suit your situation.

The Box/Wine Ceremony

The Box Wine Ceremony is a promise that the couple make to one another to not walk away quickly from their marriage if they encounter hard times.

The Breaking of the Glass Ceremony

The Breaking of the Glass Ceremony is a well known Jewish tradition but can be modified to suit any couple. This ceremony has multiple meanings including Judaism, Blessing, and Fragility and Challenges.

The Broom Jumping Ceremony

The Broom Jumping Ceremony is a symbol of sweeping away of the old and welcoming the new, or a symbol of a new beginning.

The Butterfly Release Ceremony

The Butterfly Release Ceremony is a visual way to allow each guest of the wedding to send a mental blessing up into the heavens for the couple. Their well wishes are to be carried up on the wings of the butterfly.

The Child Acknowledgement Ceremony

The Child Acknowledgment Ceremony is an endearing way to incorporate the couple’s children into their ceremony. Both the parents and the children can make vows to love one another.

The Chocolate Ceremony

The Chocolate Ceremony is fun for couples that enjoy chocolate.  It represents how chocolate can nourish the soul and that life can be bitter and sweet – both like a marriage can be.

The Chocolate and Wine Ceremony

The Chocolate and Wine Ceremony represents that life is full of bitter and sweet moments. This ceremony has the couple acknowledge that fact and agree to go through all of it together.

The Dove Release Ceremony

The Dove Release Ceremony shows marriage is for life just like doves mate for life.

The Goldfish Ceremony

The Goldfish ceremony is an example of the couple combining their lives together by getting married and how they will share a new home/life together.

The Hand Ceremony

The Hand Ceremony emphasizes that the couple will work together to build their new life and that they should be the other's support.

The Hand Fasting Ceremony

Hand Fasting Ceremony represents that the couple will be bound together in marriage by choice.

The Hand Washing Ceremony

The Hand Washing Ceremony is about starting a marriage with a clean slate and being vulnerable together.

The Ring to a Child Ceremony

The Ring to a Child Ceremony is a beautiful way to include your children in your wedding. This ceremony can be an opportunity for the new parent to make vows to the child. These vows usually include a commitment to love them and do their best to help take care of them.

The Ring Warming Ceremony

The Ring Warming Ceremony asks the witnesses to hold the couple's wedding rings and while doing so add their blessings to the couple's marriage. This Enhancements is great for including special family or friends in the ceremony. It also represents how a marriage is most successful when it has the support of those who love the couple.

The Rope Coin Ceremony

The Rope/Coin Ceremony is about agreeing to stay together and sharing everything you have together.  Variations of this Ceremony Enhancement are common among those who celebrate Mexican traditions.

The Rose Gift Ceremony

The Rose Gift Ceremony allows the couple to give each other a simple gift that can be used as a reminder in the future of the love that they felt for each other on their wedding day. It is supposed to be the first give they give each other as a married couple.

The Rose Presentation Ceremony

The Rose Presentation Ceremony allows the couple to honor
someone they feel has offered great support for them.  Many couples use
this ceremony enhancement to honor their mothers.

The Salt Ceremony

The Salt Ceremony has the participants promise to commit themselves to each other for life.

The Sand Ceremony

The Sand Ceremony represents how the couple is blending their lives together by getting married and it shows that this change can never be undone or returned to the original state.

The Unity Candle Ceremony

The Unity Candle Ceremony visually depicts how the couple is joining their lives to become one. It also is an opportunity to show that they are supported by their family or honored guests.

The Wedding Tea Ceremony

The Wedding Tea Ceremony focuses on the simple things in life, like love.

The Wine Ceremony

The Wine Ceremony visually depicts how the couple is joining their lives. This Ceremony has the couple each drink some wine to respresent themselves and then they add some of that wine to a new glass where they both will drink from it. Showing that they are now a part of each other and forever blended.
